One thing that you will always find in new age literature that discusses ancient civilizations is that the magnetic pole of the earth has shifted throughout history and this has created crises that have affected the ages of different civilizations.
For example, many new agers now agree that there was once an ancient city on what is now the North Pole. This would either be the lost city of Atlantis or the center of some other ancient civilization, depending on which new ager you talk to.
Here’s a map of what the current North Pole used to look like, according to 16th century geographer Gerardus Mercator.
This map is regularly posted by new agers, who argue that if you shifted the magnetic pole of the earth, the North Pole would be habitable and would also be at the center of the world, given that every continent connects to it.
Other new agers have offered that the poles of the earth randomly flip with a quickness (that is, the entire earth turns upside down), causing a crisis that will destroy any civilization and kill most people on earth. Nikola Tesla, who is a very popular figure within the new age movement, also discussed this. It’s also now a part of mainstream science that the poles flip every few hundred thousands of years. Their evidence for it is not that good, but it is there.
Every new age book I’ve ever read came rushing back to me in reading the latest news about the magnetic poles.
The magnetic north pole just isn’t where it used to be.
Ever since James Clark Ross first identified it on the Boothia Peninsula in Canada’s Nunavut territory in 1831, scientists have been carefully measuring its location ever since. But in recent years, it’s been inching closer and closer to Siberia at a surprisingly rapid pace.
Now, researchers from U.K. and Denmark say they’ve uncovered the reason for this mysterious movement: Two writhing lobes of magnetic force are duking it out near Earth’s core.
“The wandering of Earth’s north magnetic pole, the location where the magnetic field points vertically downwards, has long been a topic of scientific fascination,” the researchers write in their paper, which appears in the May 5 issue of Nature Geoscience.
Earth’s magnetic field is generated by molten iron in its outer core. The flow of this liquid iron can influence the location of the planet’s magnetic poles. While poles have drifted and even swapped places numerous times over the course of Earth’s long history, what’s different about this recent shift is how quickly it’s happening. From 1999 to 2005, Earth’s magnetic north pole went from shifting 9 miles at most each year to as much as 37 miles in a year.
These scientists pored over 20 years of satellite data from the European Space Administration’s Swarm satellite mission and discovered that “…over the last two decades the position of the north magnetic pole has been largely determined by two large-scale lobes of negative magnetic flux on the core–mantle boundary under Canada and Siberia,” according to the study.
Between 1970 and 1999, the flow of molten, magnetic material in Earth’s outer core changed. Because of these changes, the researchers say, the magnetic blob lurking beneath Canada slowly elongated in the early aughts, weakening the corresponding magnetic intensity on Earth’s surface.
Eventually, the blob of molten material beneath Canada split in two and the stronger one slowly shifted toward the blob beneath Siberia. This spurred the magnetic north pole to slip closer and closer to Siberia, where the magnetic intensity was stronger.
In 2017, the magnetic north pole fell within 240 miles of the geographic north pole. The movement has been so rapid that the British Geological Survey and U.S. National Geophysical Data Center, which update the World’s Magnetic Model, had to accelerate their process in order to keep up.
New agers also talk about the way earth cycles are tied to human psychological and civilizational development cycles, and tend to claim that a collapse of a human civilization from within is also tied to extreme changes with the earth itself and among the stars.
I won’t list the new agers in question, because there is no reason to send anyone down those rabbit holes, which I’ve found can induce a form of schizophrenia in the unwitting. Anyone can find them if they want to find them. I have consumed copious amounts of new age material over the years, and do find that it has a high level of entertainment value, but that they also do introduce some pretty interesting ideas alongside their Eastern Mysticism bullshit and all of the crap that they just make up whole cloth. But it would be malicious to recommend it to anyone, given the effects that I know it has on people. (Basically, you hear something that you know is true from one of these people, or something that resonates, and then you begin buying into the rest of their gibberish because they’ve established trust.)
Basically, new agers are a personality type that will look at any kind of information and not dismiss it as kooky. They then build their entire worldviews based on a hodgepodge of ideas that have been dismissed by the mainstream. A lot of this was dismissed because it was dumb, but a lot of it was dismissed because people in the establishment had an interest in dismissing it. So there are a lot of truths that can be found in the new age movement, among the piles of nonsense about spirit energy and meditation. (You should also consider that new age gurus are always in competition with one another, since there is a limited pull from which they can draw followers, so they will continue to try to one-up one another by adding various stupid things to their cosmology.)
It’s very rare that I ever feel the need to mention new age materials I’ve read here on the Daily Stormer. But this is one of those times. I think we’re entering a very, very weird period of history, and it is possible that many of the things that are believed by people who are willing to believe anything will begin to become relevant.
In my estimation, it is very possible that this satanic new civilization that is being created under the guise of this coronavirus hoax will be thwarted by changes within the earth itself. So I am going to keep an eye on the magnetic poles.
