No Justice Department funding marches, as Trayon Martin’s supporters enjoyed.
No wall-to-wall media coverage, as the posthumous crusade for justice for Trayvon became a year-long media event/sensation.
Just a city drowning in unpaid water bills and a white motorist still trying to regain full cognitive functions after an encounter with blacks in the 83 percent black city of Detroit.
Steven Utash.
Was any national media present when the sentencing occurred for those who assaulted Mr. Utash, a good samaritan daring to help a black child who purposely darted in front of his car?
No.
Just local Detroit media. [‘Not one of them cared,’ Steven Utash’s brother says at sentencing, Detroit Free Press, July 7, 2014]:
Telling one of the men involved in a beating on Detroit’s east side in April that he caused upheaval throughout the city, a Wayne County Circuit Court judge Monday sentenced the first of four men charged in the attack to 6 to 10 years in prison.
“People are afraid to stop their automobiles when they’re involved in collisions … to see if someone’s been injured,” Judge James Callahan said Monday, adding Saffold’s actions had “far-reaching implications.”
Callahan was refering to Wonzey Saffold, 30, who he sentenced in the attack on Steven Utash, a 54-year-old tree trimmer from Clinton Township.
Utash was knocked off his feet in the attack and pummeled after he hit a 10-year-old boy who stepped off a curb in front of his truck. Relatives said Steven Utash has brain damage resulting from the beating by up to 20 people.
“You disgust me, and you’re a disgrace to America,” Mary Utash, the sister-in-law of Steven Utash, said to Saffold in Wayne County Circuit Court. . Saffold faced life in prison as a habitual offender, but was given a lesser sentence as part of a plea agreement.
“He was begging, he was pleading, ‘I’m sorry, I’m sorry,’ ” said brother Ken Utash. “Not one of them cared about his plea.”
Utash’s daughter Mandi Emerick read a statement from her father.
His last memory from the afternoon of April 2 is two men walking toward him after a teen had been punching him. He woke up from a medically induced coma 10 days later. “The teenager wouldn’t listen to me,” according to his statement.
“He kept swinging at me, saying I did it on purpose and tried to run away.” Steven Utash said that when he finally woke up and saw his head, it “looked like a mushroom,” and the brain injuries have made him unable to drive, work “or make financial decisions on my own,” Mandi Emerick read. “I don’t understand what kind of defense they can use to explain their animal-like behavior.”
Saffold apologized, and his lawyer Ray Paige said Saffold’s prison sentence will mean he will miss seeing his pregnant girlfriend give birth.
Another defendant in the case, Bruce Wimbush Jr., 18, who had no prior criminal history, was given three years of probation under the Holmes Youthful Trainee Act and must submit to drug screenings, Callahan said.
A 17-year-old boy, charged in juvenile court because he was 16 at the time of the incident, admitted to a similar assault charge.
As part of the plea agreement, a charge of ethnic intimidation was dismissed.
Solomon Radner, the teen’s attorney, said the teen will go into a residential placement program. The teen is to be back in court Sept. 17 for a review hearing.
Assistant Wayne County Prosecutor Lisa Lindsey said Wimbush cooperated with investigators and was remorseful for his role. She also said the family asked that the judge take the ages of Wimbush and the other minor into account.
Wimbush’s stepfather David Cleveland said he’s a “good kid” and they appreciate the family’s “leniency.” Lindsey said only three people came forward as witnesses after the beating, and that this limited the strength of their case.
Has any white person, charged with a “hate” crime or “ethnic” intimidation, ever been able to engage in a plea agreement and have those charges dropped, as was the case in those who beat Steven Utash?
Detroit is no-man’s land, a city offering any thinking person a glimpse into America’s non-white future.
Steven Utash, like the lead character in Naked Prey, dared venture into a world unlike anything found in even his most frightening nightmares.
White man, when you look into the mirror, you must understand it’s not your reflection looking back at you: if you peer long enough, you’ll see Steven Utash staring back at you.
Interesting post-script to the unpaid water bills story and mass shutoffs in 83 percent black Detroit that correlates to the post-1st World civilization now sprouting up amid the signs something once flourished in the same real estate where Steven Utash was viciously assaulted by a group of blacks. [Going Without Water in Detroit, New York Times, July 3, 2014]:
DETROIT — A FAMILY of five with no water for two weeks who were embarrassed to ask friends if they could bathe at their house. A woman excited about purchasing a home who learned she would be held responsible for the previous owner’s delinquent water bill: all $8,000 of it. A 90-year-old woman with bedsores and no water available to clean them.
“I’ve seen water problems in poor countries and the third world,” said Maude Barlow, the board chairwoman of the nonprofit Food and Water Watch. “But I’ve never seen this in the United States, never.”
Detroit in 2014 is no longer territory of the United States.
It’s an 83 percent black city, where the concept of justice and civilization have reverted to the black mean: a decaying metropolis where Steven Utash served as nothing more than a metaphor for the white man’s future in America.
Unlike when European powers decolonized Africa, Detroit is an example of what happens when Africa colonizes Europe (remember: in 1914, Detroit was 98 percent white, those currently damned sons and daughters of Europa).
Steven Utash is the avatar of the future for whitey.
No justice, no peace.
