First, they waged war on gamers. Now, the battlefield includes vapers. Who will be next?
I used to think that gamers were the most oppressed group on earth. And for a while, we certainly were. However, it seems like the whole world has suddenly agreed to start dabbing on vapers, turning their lives into a living hell.
As both a gamer and a vaper, I’m doubly concerned. This wave of anti-vapitism must be stopped at all costs.
In a bill hailed as a major step toward stopping teenagers from vaping, the Massachusetts House on Wednesday passed a bill that would ban the sale of all flavored tobacco products, including mint and menthol, and impose a 75% excise tax on electronic cigarettes.
Menthol cigarettes as well?
So it’s not only vapers these people hate, but Blacks also?
These poor negroes will now have to live without their Newports!
These lawmakers are completely unhinged.
The bill passed 127-31. It will now go to the Senate, which is expected to take it up next week.
Rep. John Mahoney, D-Worcester, chairman of the Joint Committee on Public Health, said tobacco flavors, whether mint or cotton candy, “were created and designed for one reason only — for young people to become addicted to nicotine and to become lifelong users.”
That’s dead wrong.
They were created for the purpose of blowing sick clouds, bro.
This just goes to show how out-of-touch these senile boomers really are.
As smoking rates have declined over the decades, vaping has become popular among Massachusetts teenagers. Many view vaping — where oil or water with nicotine or THC is heated and vaporized, then inhaled — as a safer alternative to smoking.
Vape cartridges have been available in myriad flavors, from strawberry to cotton candy, although Juul, a popular vaping product manufacturer, facing public criticism, recently pulled its flavored products from the market.
According to the state’s 2017 Youth Risk Behavior Survey, 41% of high school students reported using an e-cigarette at least once, and 20% reported vaping currently. Only 11% reported smoking cigarettes currently. Nearly 10% of middle schoolers had tried an e-cigarette at least once.
Implying all these hypocritical boomers didn’t smoke when they were teenagers.
These assholes spent their entire youths experimenting with every mind-altering chemical known to man, but now that they’re in control, they want to prevent zoomers from enjoying relatively benign nicotine vapor products.
These are the same people who, with a straight face, are trying to legislate all the fun out of being young.
It’s not enough for boomers to steal all the money – they have to steal any and all sources of meager enjoyment for the younger generations as well.
Sickening.
According to bill supporters, more than 80% of teens who have used a tobacco product started with a flavored product.
A national outbreak of vaping-related lung diseases has sickened more than 2,000 people and killed 39, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Three deaths have been reported in Massachusetts.
Blah blah blah, this crap is (apparently entirely) due to vaping THC anyway, not off-the-shelf vape liquid.
Apple also just announced they’re getting on the vape-hate bandwagon.
Apple is this morning removing all vaping apps from the App Store following yesterday’s CDC report that says that 42 people in the US have died from lung disease associated with e-cigarette use.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said that there were a further 2,172 cases of severe respiratory illnesses among those who vaped either nicotine or cannabis products…
Apple will regret messing with vape nation. I can tell you that.
They should have done more market research.
Millions of zoomers will smash their iPhones in protest.
