When was the last time that three Whites tied up, beat, and robbed seven people and shot a Black man?

I fail to recall.

The Leaf Chronicle:

The gunman accused of shooting a Clarksville man to death during a home invasion robbery in 2013 was convicted of first-degree murder and a slew of other charges Tuesday after a week-long trial.

Curtis Shelton Jr., 27, of Clarksville, was on trial in Montgomery County, charged with fatally shooting Miles Hendrick on July 21, 2013, at a Ranch Hill Drive home.

Assistant District Attorney Robert Nash said Shelton and two friends went out together that night and decided to “hit a lick” — or score an easy theft — after seeing a group of strangers partying outside the home.

“Mr. Shelton and his buddies targeted that home,” Nash said, adding they did not know any of the people there.

Nash said they went back to the home later that night and broke in through a garage, tied up seven people with duct tape and began beating them with a crow bar while demanding money, wallets, game systems or anything else they could steal. He said Shelton also had a gun.

Two other men, Kentavius Cheeks, 23, and Joseph Graham, 30, were also charged. Cheeks pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the case and was sentenced to 25 years in exchange for testifying against Shelton and Graham.
