The U.S. Bureau of Prisons is freeing over 3,000 inmates under a criminal justice reform measure, the largest group to be released since President Donald Trump signed the bipartisan First Step Act into law less than seven months ago.
The law’s Second Chance Hiring Program funds job training and re-entry initiatives to help former prisoners gain employment. Trump outlined the major public-private partnership last month at the White House.
The Justice Department announced the release of the inmates Friday, saying it was the result of an increase in “good conduct time” under the First Step Act that rewards prisoners with shorter sentences for good behavior.
“Starting today at prisons around the country, nearly 3,100 inmates are being released from Bureau of Prisons custody due to the increase in good conduct time applied to reduce their sentences under the First Step Act,” Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen told reporters Friday, according to Fox News.

Funny enough, this has been tried before!
Every good historian knows about “Perestroika” when the USSR decided to reform its system per recommendation from Western Liberals and Jews and released thousands of “Zeks” from prison in the 80s and 90s.
An unprecedented period of prosperity and economic growth spread throughout the country slowly and surely, blanketing every city like a radiation cloud.
GDP flowed in the streets during Russia’s experiment with mass prison reform. I’m sure that Trump’s advisors have carefully studied what happened in the USSR and decided that this exactly what America needed as well.

It occurs to me that Donald Trump is either America’s Gorbachev or Yeltsin – depending on how you look at it. It’s a bit of a stretch to say that his personality matches up with his Soviet predecessors, but the situation that the USSA finds itself in is so eerily similar to that of Late Stage Communism that it’s worth looking into in more detail.

I strongly believe that I can make predictions about America’s future by just drawing parallels with the USSR.
Although if the USSR was an example of a government collapsing and society remaining intact, society in the USSA will collapse long before the government ever does. Releasing thousands of colorful drug dealers at once and unleashing them on society will move this process along at an expedited pace.
