Not so fast, fairy.
AP:
A group of LGBTQ+ protesters held an impromptu demonstration in Istanbul on Sunday after the governor’s office banned an annual Pride March.
A statement by the Istanbul governor’s office said that it wouldn’t allow “various illegal groups” to hold the unauthorized march and fenced off Istanbul’s central Taksim Square and Istiklal Avenue, where Pride marches usually take place.
The annual Pride March has been banned in Istanbul since 2015, but demonstrators still gather in Taksim and Istiklal every year and clash with authorities.
To circumvent the ban, a group of more than 100 people gathered in the Suadiye neighborhood across town. The demonstrators waved rainbow flags and read a statement, before quickly dispersing when police arrived. The Istanbul Pride Committee said that there were “unconfirmed” reports of at least 15 protesters being detained.
I don’t know if any of you have been to Istanbul, but it’s a pretty modern “European” city.
Russia is also modern and actually European and doesn’t allow this faggot shit.
There is no actual direct connection to technological advancement and weird “social progressivism.”
There is an indirect connection, which is complicated and I’m tired right now, but there is no direct connection.
There is no explicit reason why you cannot have a modern technological society that maintains traditional social norms.
It is more difficult than having traditional social norms in a medieval peasant village, I will give you that.
But people can figure this stuff out. It’s not an insurmountable problem.
People have this idea, like “well, we’ve progressed with cellphones and computers and such, so we’ve also progressed into gay anal mania.” That is not exactly the way it works.
There is a connection to technology and antisocial behavior. But it just needs to be worked out.
