Sometimes, Muslims come at you with obvious statements of fact which come across as impressive, even though they actually aren’t and just come across that way because we live in a world completely disconnected from factual reality.
Such was the situation Monday when Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that women are not equal to men.
He said that Islam has a defined purpose for women, which is motherhood, VoA reports.
Technically, it is the order of nature which defined that position for women so Islam does not really have a right to claim credit for it.
He was speaking at a “women and justice” conference in the stolen city of Byzantium – which the snakes now clal “Istanbul” – and said it was against nature to put men and women on the same playing field.
He said “You cannot tell them to go out and dig the soil. This is against their delicate nature.”
He also denounced feminism as rebelling against nature by denying motherhood.
