Twitter Announces Mass Censorship of Accurate Vaccine Information

If the vaccine is so great, and will save everyone, then why aren’t we allowed to talk about it?

Reuters:

Twitter Inc said on Wednesday that users will be required to remove new tweets that advance harmfully false or misleading claims about COVID-19 vaccinations, in an expansion of its rules on coronavirus misinformation.

The social media company said in a blog post that users could be required to remove tweets with false claims that suggest vaccines are “used to intentionally cause harm to or control populations, including statements about vaccines that invoke a deliberate conspiracy.”

The policy, announced the same week that the first Americans received COVID-19 vaccinations as part of a mass immunization campaign, will also apply to false claims that the pandemic is not real or serious and vaccinations are unnecessary. Twitter said it will also apply to widely debunked false claims about the adverse effects of receiving COVID-19 vaccines.

Conspiracy theories and misinformation about the coronavirus and its potential vaccines have proliferated on social media platforms during the pandemic.

Twitter said that early next year it would start to label or place a warning on tweets with “unsubstantiated rumors, disputed claims, as well as incomplete or out-of-context information” about the vaccines.

A Twitter spokeswoman said the company would determine with public health partners which vaccine misinformation was harmful enough to warrant removal.

I say this all the time: I want my ideas to be challenged, I want to defend them on open forums. I am convinced that anyone who actually believes what they are saying is willing to defend their positions.

Are there kooky conspiracy theories about the vaccine? Yes, I’ve seen some of them. People have said there are nanobots in it, and so on. It is stuff on a similar level with the theories that 5G causes coronavirus. (It actually links together, because the 5G is going to be used to control the nanobots, according to the theory.)

No one should be afraid of that kind of conspiracy theory.

I almost hate to say it, because it is so obvious: the only reason that conspiracy theories like that exist is that there is no open dialogue about this vaccine. There has been literally zero discussion about why we’re being forced to take a dangerous, experimental, gene-altering substance into our body in order to prevent getting a flu which is not capable of killing people under the age of 65.

Certain people rightly know something is wrong here, and then they are ready to embrace these weird theories because they’re not getting any other information.

Frankly, I have a very strong suspicion that really kooky conspiracy theories are put out as a kind of false flag, to paint genuine people with the conspiracy brush, and to justify censorship.

I have personally been in conversations with people and said that I don’t trust the vaccine and had them (her, actually) say “oh, what, you think it’s got nanobots in it?”

Everyone (particularly women) is following a script in 2020. The world has become a grid of talking points, and everyone has a response to all of them, programmed into them by the media. These really fringe theories play a major role in these talking points systems.

The solution to bad information and bad ideas is never censorship. What censorship is for is to protect bad ideas. It’s legitimately mind-boggling to me that I was the first person to be censored, and now we’re at the point where they are shutting down anyone who asks any questions at all about an experimental gene therapy drug that the government is attempting to coerce the entire population into having injected into them.

I tried to explain at the time that my goal with the site at the time, one of the goals, was to hold the grounds of free speech. The way the theory went, if I was saying really outrageous things, I was protecting the speech of everyone saying anything. It’s not a strategy I invented, and I think it’s obviously a good strategy. It’s proven now that it was.

As soon as they censored me, they started going for everyone else, and here we are.
