Just colored people doing what colored people do best: transforming a simple home robbery into a violent bloodbath that traumatizes the local community.
A grand jury formally charged Jordan Alexander Legros, 21, of Welsh and Javari Wayne Guidry, 23, of Houston with second-degree murder in connection with slaying of Walter Joseph Gotreaux, 72, and his wife, Darlene Cecilia Gotreaux, 70.
“Obviously the jury thought the evidence was overwhelming and that these two men committed the horrible act,” District Attorney Michael Cassidy said.
The couple were found dead in their bedroom on Dec. 16 by deputies conducting a welfare check called in by a concerned neighbor who could not reach the couple by phone.
Authorities said the couple had been shot multiple times inside the home in what they say was a robbery.
Guidry and Legros will be arraigned at 9 a.m. March 25 in the 31st Judicial District Court.
