Two men are now charged in a home invasion slaying that happened three years ago.
State police said 32-year-old Jamar Waters and 31-year-old Sylvester Gould Jr. killed Joshua James in April 2016. Police said they came armed into the house near Townsend, got into a fight with two men there and shot James to death before fleeing.
Both are charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy, home invasion, first-degree robbery and possession of a firearm by prohibited people and while committing felonies.
Police said Gould was arrested in Elkton, Maryland, on Wednesday. He was brought to Delaware Friday and imprisoned in default of $1 million cash bond.
Gould was arrested in January 2018 after he was identified as the man who’d pointed a gun at people outside a Middletown bar. Police charged him with possessing a firearm while being prohibited from having one. Gould pleaded to guilty drug trafficking charges in 2011.

The killing happened in the 500 block of Dogtown Road shortly before 4 a.m. April 22, 2016, according to state police. The other man there took minor injuries.
