It’s not for nothing that we call these people “rape apes.”
A rape investigation is underway after a woman was attacked last night in Bromley.
Officers were called to Turpington Lane shortly after 12.30am to reports of a man restraining and assaulting a woman.
The victim, who was in her late teens, told officers she had been dragged into the bushes by a stranger and raped.
Paramedics attended and took the woman to a south London hospital where she was treated for a head injury and two black eyes sustained during the attack.
The woman is being supported by specially trained officers and a search was conducted of the area and were supported by the Met’s dog unit in the search.
A police helicopter was also deployed but there was no trace of the suspect who is black, about 5ft 8in, of muscular build, aged no older than 30. He was wearing a grey jumper.
