Detectives have released details of a man they urgently want to trace in connection with the murder of Colin Pierre in Leeds.
Officers want to speak to Anthony Micah Pyke, aged 31, from Meanwood, Leeds, as part of the investigation into the death of Mr Pierre whose body was discovered in woods by school children near the junction of Gledhow Valley Road and Gledhow Lane in Chapel Allerton shortly after 8am on Tuesday March 11.
Enquiries have shown he died from a single gunshot wound and is believed to have been shot at the scene at about 2am the same day.
Detective Chief Inspector Jim Dunkerley of West Yorkshire Police said: “We are continuing enquiries into the death of Mr Pierre and would like to speak to anyone who has information about Anthony Micah Pyke. He is is described as black, about 5ft 8ins tall and has visible tattoos on his neck. He may have a braided or shaven hairstyle and has links to Leeds and Manchester.
“Anyone who sees him should not approach him and should contact police immediately on 999. Anyone with any information that could assist in tracing him is asked to contact West Yorkshire Police Protective Services (Crime) via 101 quoting log number 217 of March 11 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
