The Maidan is a government of Jews which installed itself through terrorism, and it is through terrorism that it is attempting to hold power.
The actual people of the Ukraine though, even Westerners, are becoming well fed-up with it.
Fifty Ukrainian soldiers sent to the eastern town of Kramatorsk for military operations against pro-federalization protesters have defected to the side of the demonstrators, local self-defense activists told RIA Novosti Wednesday.
“We have seen that these people are neither separatists nor terrorists, but just ordinary people and we refuse to fight them,” one of the soldiers told RIA Novosti, as the military men took down Ukrainian flags and directed their vehicles to nearby Slaviansk.
The soldiers who switched allegiances are all from Dnepropetrovsk, and came from six crews of airborne combat vehicles, several crews of infantry combat vehicles and one armored carrier.
Some of them raised Russian flags and Air Force banners. Several of their vehicles are now stationed near the Slaviansk City Council, which has been under the control of federalization advocates for several days.
Local residents are taking pictures against the backdrop of the combat vehicles and talking freely with their crews.
This speaks to the larger problem of getting soldiers to fight their own people, which is likely to become an ongoing struggle for the EU in various impending doom scenarios. The solution, of course, is to send in foreign troops.
Nato said today it would send more ships, planes and troops to eastern Europe to reassure allies worried by Russia’s annexation of Crimea but shied away from new permanent bases in the east as Poland wanted.
“You will see deployments at sea, in the air, on land to take place immediately, that means within days,” Nato secretary-general Anders Fogh Rasmussen told a news conference after Nato ambassadors agreed the measures.
They keep swearing they won’t fight Russian troops, but these people aren’t exactly renown for their honesty and integrity.
The Maidan is killing protesters.
BBC:
Three people were killed in a raid on a base in eastern Ukraine overnight, the country’s interior minister says, as the US, Russia, the EU and Ukraine begin crisis talks in Geneva.
The three pro-Russian separatists were killed in a clash with Ukrainian forces in Mariupol, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said on Facebook.
The Geneva meeting is the first such gathering since the crisis escalated.
The West says Russia is aiding the pro-Russian activists occupying buildings.
In a live TV phone-in on Thursday Russia’s President Vladimir Putin warned Kiev of “the abyss they’re heading into” in eastern Ukraine and urged dialogue.
He said the Kiev government, which had “seized power”, had only spoken to its own appointees in the region, but “not to the people whom locals trust”.
Interesting that this was not okay when it was alleged that Yanokovich did the exact same thing, except against protesters who were literally being bankrolled by the US taxpayer instead of genuinely pushing for change.
And of course, as it turned out, the Maidan was killing its own people. Which is why they still refuse to investigate the shootings.
The claims that Russia is responsible for fomenting the troubles become simply idiotic when it is seen that even Maidan’s own soldiers are defecting to the side of the protesters.
During the meeting on Wednesday, Russia’s UN Ambassador Vitaly Churkin took the floor to criticize Kiev’s military operation against protesters in the eastern provinces of Ukraine.
He highlighted the use of extra-legal armed groups like the “Right Sector,” saying they are being mobilized to attack pro-Russian demonstrators.
The Russian envoy also slammed Kiev’s failure to heed the demands of people in eastern Ukraine.
“Those who usurped power in Kiev as a result of a coup, have now embarked on the course towards ignoring the legal demands of the people of the south-east and anti-constitutionally using armed forces for quelling their own people, blasphemously dubbing them as bandits and terrorists,” he said.
US Ambassador to the UN Samantha Power, however, defended the actions of the newly-installed pro-West Ukrainian government against activists, claiming that the protests are being incited by Moscow.
“Every major city in the region has at least one building under occupation. It is clear that these actions were not a set of spontaneous events or homegrown, but rather a well-orchestrated professional campaign of incitement, separatism, and sabotage of the Ukrainian state,” she said.
It seems that even the Western Jew media is going to have a hard time explaining this one. It must be very difficult to come up with an excuse as to why murdering protesters is okay in one case and not in another, how overthrowing a democratically elected government is okay and opposing a junta coup government is not okay.
The glaring inconsistency makes spinning this thing nigh impossible.
Putin has played this brilliantly.
