UN Chief Whines About Israel Draft Legislation Banning UN from Helping Palestinians

The UN still doesn’t want to just simply say “genocide.”

Israel said at the outset of this conflict that they would use food and water as a weapon to kill Palestinians. It’s no big surprise that they’ve stuck to this.

Bibi is basically the single most honest Jew who ever lived. He’s saying, incredibly straightforwardly, that he wants to exterminate these people, and the rest of the world just doesn’t want to hear it.

Xinhua:

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Tuesday expressed “profound concern” over Israel’s draft legislation that could prevent UNRWA, the UN relief agency for Palestinians, from continuing its essential work in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

“In the midst of all the upheaval, UNRWA — more than ever — is indispensable,” Guterres told reporters at the UN headquarters in New York.

Guterres said that operationally, the legislation would likely deal a terrible blow to the international humanitarian response in Gaza, as UNRWA’s activities are integral to that response. “It is not feasible to isolate one UN agency from the others,” he said.

Warning that the measure would effectively end coordination to protect UN convoys, offices and shelters serving hundreds of thousands of people, Guterres said that without UNRWA, the delivery of food, shelter and health care to most of Gaza’s population would grind to a halt; Gaza’s 660,000 children would lose the only entity that is able to re-start education, risking the fate of an entire generation; and many health, education and social services would also end in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem.

If the UN is going to make any statements at all, they should be highlighting the fact that they are utterly powerless to do anything, because they have zero ability to reprimand the United States. Saying that could actually be helpful.

Right now, they just whine and look like fools. No one cares about anything they say.
