US Spanish-language broadcaster Univision said Wednesday it has become the No. 1 network in primetime for key demographics this month compared to its English competitors.
The Miami-based network said it reached the milestone among adults aged 18 to 49 and 18 to 34 during a period of audience tallying that ended today.
It also said it came out on top for viewers aged 12 to 34. In all those categories, Fox came in second, it said.
“The growth of Univision is indicative of the growing importance of Hispanics in the United States,” Cesar Conde, president of Univision Networks, who is of Peruvian origin, told AFP.
