How hard is it to understand that he was just about to get his life on track?
He was already in church, for Gods sake!
Now, just because he killed some Bible-study broad, they’ll lock him up, forever preventing this man from reaching his potential, smdh.
Lee County Sheriff’s officers arrested a multiple felon with a history of escape in the June 21 slaying of a North Fort Myers Bible study leader.
Undersheriff Carmine Marceno said Thursday night that deputies arrested Brett T. Pleasant, 51, of Fort Myers in the death of JoAnn Leasure, 77.
Pleasant is charged with second-degree murder and robbery. He remained lodged at Lee County Jail and no bond is set.
Leasure was found dead in her condo at 3458 Hancock Bridge Parkway.
“Mrs. Leasure was very involved in her church and had devoted her life to helping others,” Marceno said. “This senseless murder is loss to our community and the many friends of JoAnn Leasure.”
