Judge Kavanaugh showed America exactly why I nominated him. His testimony was powerful, honest, and riveting. Democrats’ search and destroy strategy is disgraceful and this process has been a total sham and effort to delay, obstruct, and resist. The Senate must vote!

Okay, so read my live coverage thread of the hearing, it’s very good. And despite vowing to quit and go to the gym, I stayed the whole way through. Very long day.
Basically, the situation is this: no Democrat is going to vote yes.
So you have three Republicans who were questionable: Ben Sasse, Jeff Flake and Susan Collins.
Ben Sasse was at the hearing and his comments indicated he’s definitely voting yes.
Flake made some weird ambiguous statement.
Collins was not at the hearing.
There are 51 GOP Senators.
I don’t know if Pence can break a tie on this, but I assume he can (right?) – so that means Flake or Collins can say no, but both cannot.
Flake is resigning and Collins is basically a Democrat, so neither has anything to lose, theoretically, and if they both vote no, we lose.
What a ridiculous situation.
But it has to happen tomorrow.
