A Walmart worker in upstate New York has been fired for a sickening Facebook rant about Muslims.
Terry Earsing, 54, posted online a snap of two women wearing traditional dress as they shopped in the Hamburg store where he was assistant manager.
Underneath, he wrote: “Halloween came early this year…. do they really have to f—in dress like that…your in my country … get that f—in s— off!!!!!”
A member of the local Muslim community spotted the comment and informed the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which in turn alerted Walmart executives.
An investigation was launched, and Earsing was promptly fired.
“As soon as we became aware, we began looking into this and as a result, this associate is no longer with the company,” Walmart spokeswoman Kayla Whaling told The Buffalo News.
“We set high expectations for our associates, and this associate clearly failed to meet these expectations at every level,” she added.
Earsing later apologized, saying it was a joke that had spectacularly backfired.
