How many options did they start with?
I just don’t know what anyone ever thought.
How many weapons would China have to send to Mexico for Mexico to win a war against the United States?
None of this ever made any sense to anyone who knows anything about anything.
RT:
Ukraine is running out of options in its counteroffensive against Russian forces, as Kiev’s time-window to gain advances is closing, the Washington Post has reported.
In an article on Sunday, the US outlet is claiming that Ukraine’s counteroffensive, which was launched in early June and was initially expected to see Kiev taking back significant territory, currently “shows signs of stalling.”
“Kiev’s advances remain isolated to a handful of villages, Russian troops are pushing forward in the north and a plan to train Ukrainian pilots on US-made F-16s is delayed,” the newspaper wrote.
These are empty villages in fields. Like, villages that before the war had populations of 50-200 people. The Ukraine is not conquering these villages – they are in front of the Russian defensive line.
It would be like if you’re trying to go into someone’s house and kill them, and you claimed to have conquered the public sidewalk in front of their house because you were standing on the sidewalk. All they did was drive into empty villages that are in the area between the battle lines.
It’s bizarre the Western media keeps saying this, because anyone who is following the war knows what this is. So, if you’re following the war, you know the media is saying something completely nonsensical. You can’t “capture” an evacuated village on the outside of the defensive line. You just drive into it.
Ukrainian and Western officials might be calling for patience but “the window of time for Ukraine to conduct offensive operations is limited” because of the “inhospitable weather” in the region in autumn and winter, the article reads.
“Without more advanced weapons slated to bolster the front line or fully committing forces still being held in reserve, it is unlikely that Ukraine will be able to secure a breakthrough in the counteroffensive, according to analysts,” WaPo pointed out.
The article also warned that “the inability to demonstrate decisive success on the battlefield [by Kiev forces] is stoking fears that the conflict is becoming a stalemate and international support could erode.”
Calls for Washington to cut back on its military and financial aid to Ukraine “are expected to be amplified” in the wake of the US presidential election in 2024, it added.
It’s not even a stalemate. Russia won the war. They took three times the territory they were initially claiming, and they have held it. Biden said the Ukraine can’t join NATO. The country’s military is totally decimated. These are all three of Russia’s objectives achieved.
Now, it’s obviously more complicated than that, because the situation is ongoing, Kiev refuses to surrender, and Russia wants Kharkov and Odessa, because hey – might as well, right? The people in Kharkov and Odessa want to be liberated, it will be good for national morale, it’s profitable, it weakens the Ukraine, so they might as well just keep moving. But they already have what Putin demanded, and the Western media is admitting the Kiev junta can’t get it back.
It’s so insane to think that just two months ago, these outlets were claiming that Zelensky would be in control of Crimea right now.
Again, we have to ask: even if you believe the media is super honest and just makes honest mistakes, if they are this wrong, this consistently, what difference does it make if it’s on purpose or if they’re just stupid?
