Well. At Least Putin is Holding the Line on Trannies. That’s Good.

Something like this really should not ever need to be said.

RT:

Russia should import concepts from the rest of the world, such as the best technological and economic ideas, but it should reject the view that men and women are the same thing, Russian President Vladimir Putin has claimed.

Speaking to journalists at his annual end-of-year press conference, Putin also said that the West has distorted views on transexual rights, and these issues are making their way to Russia due to the internet.

“It’s inevitable [that these concepts will arrive in Russia],” Putin said. “If someone thinks men and women are the same thing, let them think that, but let us think about common sense.”

“I believe that the traditional approach is correct. Male is male, female is female, mother is mother, and father is father. I sincerely hope that our society has the moral armor to protect us against this,” he continued, stating that these views are embedded in the religious views found in Russia.

Putin’s annual conference had a few other highlights summarized on RT.

He’s still not really hard on the vax issue, but he’s certainly not condemning it either, and he’s not pushing back against the agenda of the QR codes and the rest of it.

Russia has one of the lowest vax uptakes in the world, according to official numbers (though there is a lot of evidence Western countries are lying). Russia says only 45% have had at least one dose, which means a whole lot of purebloods.

Putin has previously said people have to have their freedoms.

But he’s not really saying people should have freedoms now. He’s just kind of blowing it off. The whole thing. The lack of people taking it, the QR stuff – he’s just kind of saying “well, whatever.”

That isn’t good enough. It’s better than the rest of Europe, better than America and Australia and elsewhere. But it’s not as good as China, where they’ve legally confirmed no one can be coerced into taking the vaccine. Plus, the Chinese vaccine is also certainly a placebo, and the Russian one seems weird and dangerous.

Russia has by far been the biggest disappointment of 2021. But they’re not yet as big of a disappointment as Trump was in 2020.

What matters now, geopolitically, is Sino-Friendship.

There’s a good chance that Russia is going to be in dire need of a high dose of Sino-Friendship in the near future. So I hope they’re figuring that one out.

If they can get China to commit troops to the NATO-instigated Ukraine debacle, things are going to get pretty interesting.
