Russia has been surgical in taking out military installations and airports. Last I heard, it was like, 135 people dead in 24 hours.
But you’re seeing this stuff:
⚡️ Two residential buildings in Kyiv are on fire from intercepted unidentified enemy aircraft.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, there is a risk of demolition. Buildings that were hit by the debris are on 7A Koshytsia Street.

When I see that, I’m like “oh yeah sure, just like Saddam throwing babies out of incubators.”
It is of course possible that Russia could accidentally hit a residential area, particularly if it was near a military installation.
But this isn’t a terrorist insurgency situation, like when Israel bombs apartment buildings and says “the terrorists were using people as human shields so we just had to kill everyone.” Military installations in the Ukraine are clearly marked, and Russia is obviously being careful.
I think Russia has a clear “hearts and minds” agenda. They are going to start handing out food packages and so on once they’re in control of cities. This is not the US invasion of Iraq, where they were doing “shock and awe” and just killing random people.
I simply do not believe that Russia has hit any residential area.
But there are US troops in the Ukraine, and I don’t see why they wouldn’t kill civilians and blame it on Russia. In fact, it would be shocking if they didn’t do that. They can’t really get caught, because they can just deny it and say Putin faked the evidence against them because he’s evil and just wanted to kill random people to be mean. Anyone who will believe any of this will believe that.
