While Chilling Out a Bit, Giuliani Isn’t Putting the Brakes on the Headlines Machine

The President’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani gave a great, tempered interview with Chuck Today Sunday morning, and I’m sitting there like “YO RUDY – SAY SOMETHING CRAZY BUDDY, WE NEED A HEADLINE!”

And a headline he did not give.

He was on it, and entertaining, engaged, good responses – but nothing crazy to shake things up.

He did say at the end that he told Trump not to praise Comey for reopening the Hillary investigation because “I know Jim, he’s a good guy, but there’s something wrong with him, something happened to him, he’s become some kind of crazy, Machiavellian politician” – a great line, but not a HEADLINE.

But then the Huffington Post called him up…

New York Post:

Borrowing a line from his client, Rudy Giuliani argued Sunday that the president could not be indicted — not even if he fired a gun at his former FBI chief.

“If he shot James Comey, he’d be impeached the next day,” Giuliani told HuffPost. “Impeach him, and then you can do whatever you want to do to him.”

But while in office, Giuliani insisted that the president’s constitutional powers are too broad. “In no case can he be subpoenaed or indicted,” Giuliani argued.

“I don’t know how you can indict while he’s in office,” he added. “No matter what it is.”

It would have been really funny if Trump had just shot James Comey and then been like “you can’t indict me!”

I can picture it in my head:

Comey is in Trump’s office, he says “come here Jim, I wanna show you showing, come over here.” Then he opens his desk drawer and pulls out a Glock and points it at him and is like, “whaddaya thinka that, Jim?”

Then faggot Comey is like “Mr. President, I…”

And then – BANG BANG BANG.
