White Acquaintance Stabbed to Death by Black Who Heard Voices

Officials have released a photo of the suspect in a fatal stabbing that happened on Sunday.

Shiquan Jermaine Richardson, 22, of 1118 Summit Ave. faces a charge of first-degree murder in the stabbing death of James Daryl Overman, 42. Richardson is being held without bail in the Guilford County jail.

Police said Overman and Richardson were acquaintances who were involved in an ongoing dispute. But police did not say what triggered the fatal stabbing that happened about 11:40 a.m. at Overman’s home at 1515 Summit Ave.

GREENSBORO — A local man stabbed this morning has died of his wounds.

Greensboro police identified the victim as James Daryl Overman, 42.

Police said Shiquann Jermaine Richardson, 22, of 1118 Summit Ave. was charged with first-degree murder in Overman’s death. He is being held without bail in the Guilford County jail. (Jail records show Richardson’s first name spelled as Shiquan.)

Police said Overman and Richardson were acquaintances who were involved in an ongoing dispute. But police did not say what triggered the fatal stabbing at Overman’s home at 1515 Summit Ave.

Police said the stabbing was reported about 11:39 a.m. Sunday.
