If a suspect is described as “white or Hispanic” in a US news report, then obviously he’s going to be Hispanic.
Though I believe “beaner” is the correct scientific term.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said one person was killed during an apparent drug deal in the southwest valley.
According to a press release, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 8000 block of West Mesa Vista at 10:43 p.m. Friday night.
When officers arrived, they found an adult male laying on the ground suffering from “numerous” gunshot wounds.
Medical personnel arrived on scene and transported the victim to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Homicide detectives believed the man had met up with another individual to conduct a drug deal and during the transaction, the suspect pulled out a handgun and shot the victim multiple times before fleeing in a grey sedan.
The suspect was described as a white or Hispanic male, about 6’1″ with a thin build.

The Clark County Coroner’s office has identified the man killed as 21-year-old Dakota Michael Bublin of Las Vegas.
He died from gunshot wounds, and his death has been officially ruled a homicide, according to the coroner’s office.
