A suspect has been arrested after a fatal, early morning shooting in Nashville.
Officials with the Nashville Police Department said 27-year-old Christian Brown will be charged with criminal homicide and aggravated robbery after the shooting death of 26-year-old Ronald Sanders.
The shooting was reported around 3:45 a.m. Saturday outside Sander’s residence at the James Cayce public housing development on Sylvan Street.
Witnesses told police Brown and another suspect approached Sanders and demanded money.
Police said an altercation broke out and Sanders was shot. He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where officials said he later died.
Investigators said Brown has previous convictions for felon in possession of a weapon, aggravated assault and aggravated burglary. They said they are still searching for the second suspect.
