So Bunker Smith was having a thread on Twitter discussing the metrics of the various altright sites (which, of course, Daily Stormer is leaps and bounds the leader in) and he tagged me in.

The metrics he’s using are Alexa. These are ranks. Google is Alexa’s #1 site. These metrics aren’t perfect but they give you an idea. Daily Stormer’s US Alexa rank is 7,190.
I put this into context for him by comparing this site to the reach of major metro dailies

I went through the top 100 US newspapers to find the highest one whose scope we exceed. It’s the Democrat-Gazette out of Little Rock, Arkansas.
So out of curiosity, I decided to take a look at how many employees that it has.
At least 173, probably more that I can’t get the contact information of. Publications comparable to this size generally have at least that many employees making comfortable salaries and a building.
If you’re reading this, I’m willing to bet that you value Daily Stormer way more than the average newspaper subscriber values their newspaper. In a just world, The Daily Stormer would have a building full of employees to grow this thing. It would have money to fund a staff.
Here’s the disgusting reality: in totality, the Daily Stormer’s revenue, before expenses, is significantly less than the lowest paid employee of the Democrat-Gazette.
I have never seen any newspaper staff work as hard as Anglin even though he does not make a comfortable living. I have never seen a publication of this size thrive on so little resources. Looking at the metrics and finding similar publications and seeing their scope really puts the importance and magnitude of this thing into perspective, and the injustice it faces being universally blacklisted from ad networks and Internet payment processing services.

I am reposting it here mainly because of the part about being the 53rd newspaper in the US, which I hadn’t realized but am very proud of. But yeah, we also need money.
