So are we being asked to believe that Tom Tiffany just really cares about the economy of Taiwan, and believes on a personal level that this should be put before the economy and foreign relations stability of the United States?
Is that what we’re being asked to believe here?

Because for me, that’s a big ask.
U.S. Congressman Tom Tiffany on Wednesday (Sept. 16) introduced a bill calling on the U.S. to put an end to the “one China” policy, resume formal relations with Taiwan, and begin negotiations on a U.S.-Taiwan Free Trade Agreement.
In a press release posted on Thursday, Tiffany pointed out that before 1979, the U.S. and Taiwan maintained normal and friendly diplomatic relations. However, then U.S. President Jimmy Carter suddenly broke off diplomatic relations with Taiwan “without legislative approval” and instead opted to recognize the communist regime in Beijing.
Tiffany stated that Congress later passed the “Taiwan Relations Act” (TRA) as the cornerstone of U.S.-Taiwan economic and cultural relations, while also authorizing the U.S. to sell arms to Taiwan. However, former President Ronald Reagan then “upgraded the relationship” by issuing the “Six Assurances.”
Despite these measures, the U.S. still does not formally recognize Taiwan. The congressman lamented that his country is “inexplicably treating” Taiwan’s democratically elected government in the same way it treats the “brutal regimes” in North Korea and Iran.
Based on the text of the Concurrent Resolution submitted by Tiffany’s office to Taiwan News, the sense of Congress is the U.S. should resume formal diplomatic relations with Taiwan, rescind restrictions on normal exchanges between the two countries, negotiate and sign a Free Trade Agreement (FTA), and advocate for Taiwan’s membership in the United Nations and other international organizations. Sending a defiant message to Beijing, Tiffany then wrote, “America doesn’t need a permission slip from the Chinese Communist Party to talk to its friends and partners around the world.”
All this does is create problems with China, and thus hardship for the American economy, ostensibly in order to enable politicians to do moral grandstanding.
None of what is going on in Asia has anything to do with the average American, except for the issues of trade with China, and in particular the issue that the United States government made the decision to transfer all of our manufacturing to China.
It isn’t China’s fault. The manufacturing was offered to China, and they took the deal.
More importantly, however, it doesn’t matter whose fault it is. What matters is fixing the problem.
Instead of trying to fix the problem, the government is stirring up animosity against China, and then claiming that it is our duty to free the Chinese people. They are telling us that we must sacrifice for the benefit of the Chinese. We must hurt our economy in order that we might bring freedom to Chinese people by fighting against the Chinese government.

How is this justifiable?
Do you care if Chinese people have freedom? If so, how much are you willing to sacrifice to get freedom for the Chinese?
These people promoting this idea that it is the duty of Americans to sacrifice in the name of these endless quests to inflict Western morality on the world should have to produce graphs explaining just how much we need to suffer economically in order to give freedom to foreign people, and then we should have referendums on how much it is we’re willing to sacrifice to ostensibly help out people on the other side of the planet.
Of course, none of this actually has anything to do with getting freedom for the Chinese. The idea that American politicians are sitting around and wringing their hands, trying to figure out ways to make Chinese people more free, is just obviously dumb and not real. What this is about is globalism. The people who run the American government are attempting to establish a one-world government, and China is pushing back against this agenda. So the people that run the American government want to hurt China so that they can push through this globalist agenda.
Obviously, they don’t care if this also hurts the American people, because they are not paid to care about the American people. When globalism is established in full, the American people are going to suffer immensely. The government does not even think about any of this. All they think about is ramming through an agenda they were paid to ram through, and they will pull on your heart strings, and tell you about what a gloriously important agenda it is to bring freedom to some rice-picking gook in a conical hat.
Obviously, their agenda won’t really benefit any gooks. But that shouldn’t be the point. The point should be: this has nothing to do with us, we don’t care, leave us alone.
Our economy was just destroyed by a virus hoax. We are still locked in our houses. We still aren’t allowed to go to church or the gym. We’re soon going to be facing 50% unemployment, mass homelessness, mass drug addiction, mass suicide. We have communists rioting on the street, saying they’re going to overthrow the government. The blacks are rising up, and we have the highest crime rates in decades.
The fact that the US government is telling you that right now, your main duty is to bring freedom to Chinese people should prove that this government is simply illegitimate.
