Ouch.
The hero of all democracy is getting fact-checked “false” on his victory claims by the beacon of democracy, CNN.
That’s gotta sting.
President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Saturday that Kyiv’s troops were “moving forward” in their counteroffensive against Russian forces, rebuffing Western officials who say that Ukraine is gaining ground too slowly.
The much-vaunted counteroffensive, which is nearing the three-month mark, has retaken more than a dozen villages but no major settlements with soldiers hampered by vast Russian minefields and defensive lines.
This whole “retaken villages” thing is the dumbest hoax yet. These are empty villages which pre-war only had a few dozen inhabitants. They are in front of the first line of Russian defense, so there was nothing to “take.” What they did was walk into empty villages which Russia was not attempting to hold.
The fact that the media mentions this as a victory shows just how bad things really are.
