The thing about the “Iranian-backed militias” is that the way this whole thing is set up, they are not centrally organized. They get money from Iran, and so they are likely to listen to Iran, but they also might just do whatever.
At least five U.S. personnel were injured in an attack against a military base in Iraq on Monday, U.S. officials told Reuters, as the Middle East braced for a possible new wave of attacks by Iran and its allies following last week’s killing of senior members of militant groups Hamas and Hezbollah.
Two Katyusha rockets were fired at al Asad airbase in western Iraq, two Iraqi security sources said. One Iraqi security source said the rockets fell inside the base. It was unclear whether the attack was linked to threats by Iran to retaliate over the killings.
I think it’s safe to say it is definitely not related directly.
It is probably casually related, in terms of whatever militia sent the rockets being pissed off about the assassination and also listening to their benefactors in Iran talk about revenge. But I think it’s safe to say, with more or less 100% certainty, that this is not a situation of Iran telling them to do it.
If you start seeing all of these militias acting all at once, maybe I would change my view on the issue. But right now, I would definitely wager that Iran did not order this.
On Wednesday, Iran said the U.S. bears responsibility in the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran because of its support for Israel.
The U.S. officials, who spoke to Reuters on condition of anonymity, said one of the wounded Americans was seriously injured. The casualty count was based on initial reports which could still change, they said.
“Base personnel are conducting a post-attack damage assessment,” one of the officials added.
These ZOGbots in Iraq and Syria are all “tripwires” – that is to say, they are there to be attacked. When they are attacked, the US can then start whining about “oh you killed our soldiers, wah!” and then start bombing people.
But at this point, it is just ridiculous for the US to continue to claim to be victims while they are funding Israel, which is just going around the region murdering everyone, while slaughtering children in their own backyard.
America is the most powerful country because it is the greatest country ever, but it is also a big victim because Iran has no right to defend itself against Israel because of the Holocaust?
The Holocaust is obviously a very stupid hoax, but even if you believed it, what does that have to do with Iran or Palestine or anyone else?
This clip is bretty gud:
StateSpox refuses again to say Iran has right to self defense, watch this blatant hypocrisy.@SMArikat: You mentioned the word ‘right’ so you’re acknowledging they have a right to respond
Miller: No
Said: You say Israel has a right to defend itself, why doesn’t Iran?
