100 Days to Brexit, Zero Progress Made, Media Pushing for Second Referendum

We are officially 100 days out from Brexit.

And there is officially no progress whatsoever made by Theresa May.

Reuters:

With just 100 days until Brexit, the United Kingdom is on the brink of leaving the European Union without a divorce deal, the nightmare scenario for many businesses which are now planning for an economic shock.

Prime Minister Theresa May’s failure to find a divorce deal the British parliament will approve means the world’s fifth largest economy now faces three main choices: agreeing a last-minute deal, halting Brexit or leaving without a deal.

No deal means there would be no transition so the exit, set in law as 2300 GMT on March 29, would be abrupt. Bank of England Governor Mark Carney said leaving the EU with no transition could be akin to the 1970s oil shock.

May is yet to win the support of a deeply divided parliament for the deal she struck last month with EU leaders to maintain close ties with the bloc.

But British politicians have been unable to agree any alternative Brexit course, deepening concerns that the United Kingdom will, as May has warned, drop out of the world’s biggest trading bloc without a deal.

“Businesses have been watching in horror as politicians have focused on factional disputes rather than practical steps that business needs to move forward,” the heads of Britain’s five biggest business lobby groups said.

“The lack of progress in Westminster means that the risk of a ‘no-deal’ Brexit is rising,” said the bosses of the British Chambers of Commerce, the Confederation of British Industry, the Federation of Small Businesses, the Institute of Directors and the main manufacturers’ organization EEF.

The lobby groups said businesses were now triggering contingency plans to deal with the expected chaos, though hundreds of thousands had yet to start planning.

Pro-Europeans fear Britain’s exit will weaken the West as it grapples with Donald Trump’s unpredictable U.S. presidency and growing assertiveness from Russia and China. It weakens Europe’s economy and removes one of its only two nuclear powers.

Do you know what this is all about?

I’ll go ahead and tell you what this is all about.

The plan from the beginning – from the day that Theresa was installed as PM – was to screw this all up to the people where any kind of Brexit is looked at as impossible.

They will then claim that it is such a mess that if Brexit is done, it will collapse the economy and blah blah blah, and call for a second referendum on Brexit, at which point the people – who have been so beaten down by this entire process, and all the threats of financial collapse, all of this doomsday talk – will vote against Brexit.

That was the plan from the beginning, and that plan is right on course.

This is all being orchestrated from behind the scenes by Theresa, Jean-Claude Juncker, Angela Merkel, the international bankers, and the rest of the gang.

When the decision was made not to remove Theresa from power, the decision was made to not have a Brexit at all. They have already sufficiently assured people of the stupid lie that a “no deal” Brexit would mean the apocalypse, even though that is objectively false.

You are going to start hearing a lot more talk of a second referendum.

They are already getting started with it.
