A “predatory” child rapist convicted of sexually abusing a girl under 13 has been jailed.
Nasir Ahmed, 41, was sentenced to 16 years’ imprisonment on four counts of raping a child.
Five other men were also jailed at Stafford Crown Court in Julyfor offences against the same girl committed over a seven-month period.
Ahmed, from Burton-upon-Trent, was also ordered to serve four years on extended licence upon his release.
He was found guilty of rape after a two-week trial at Stafford Crown Court.
Ahmed was arrested as part of a Staffordshire Police child exploitation investigation carried out between October 2012 and May last year into a number of assaults on the same victim.
Ch Insp Steve Maskrey said the sentence reflected the “despicable crimes” inflicted on the girl.
“These men, who acted in a predatory way and sought out a vulnerable young girl to abuse her, have been brought to justice,” he said.
“Their actions are inexcusable and the fact they show no remorse only highlights the sinister individuals we’re dealing with.”
