Two men who are believed to have shot and killed 69-year-old Carolyn Temple in Belhaven last week have been arrested and charged in her death, and another wanted for the crime has now turned himself in.
Police took two carjacking suspects into custody following an intense manhunt of a South Jackson neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon.
They were identified as 17-year-old Antreal Jones and 17-year-old Jerome Moore.
During the investigation Police determined that the suspects were involved in the robbery and shooting of Temple on Euclid Street last Wednesday.
Temple died from her injuries on Monday.
Jones and Moore have both been charged with capital murder. They have also been charged with one count of armed carjacking.
A third suspect involved in Temple’s death has been identified as 16-year-old Antwain Dukes.
On Wednesday, Dukes surrendered to authorities at the Jackson Police Department.
He is in custody and will be charged with Capital Murder.
The investigation is still ongoing and more arrests are possible.
