An 82-year-old man was shoved to the ground and pinned down by a thug in a “sickening” attack on his own doorstep.
Police said the pensioner was left lying injured on the floor after the attack by a man who had followed him into the building in Holborn.
The attacker allegedly joined the victim in the lift of his building before assaulting him and stealing £100 cash and several bank cards.
Detectives today released an image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the robbery at 9.30pm on February 13.
The pensioner suffered hip and back injuries but did not require hospital treatment, although police said the incident had had a “devastating impact” on him.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Brett Jones said: “This was a pernicious and sickening attack on a vulnerable member of the community.
