Just like in the soap operas, this crime is being blamed on an evil twin.
A lawyer for Shalaine Foster, 17, one of the twin sisters accused of tying up and robbing a kinky 85-year-old they met on a sugar daddy website said it was her other half, Shaina, who actually committed the crime.
“There’s always that story of the good twin and the bad twin, who goes right and who goes wrong,” said defense lawyer Brian Kennedy.
”My client Shalaine was always going right but it seems she got caught up in something that was not of her making.”
Shaina and Shalaine are charged with serious felonies for zip tying retired lawyer Paul Aronson to a coffee table for 20 hours at his luxury East 38th Street townhouse Oct 1 while they went on a shopping spree.
The randy retiree met Shaina on seekingarrangements.com a website that pairs wealthy men with young women.
She brought her sister Shalaine along for dinner and when they headed to the townhouse, Aronson didn’t get the menage trois he had counted on.
“Defendant Shania Foster zip tied informant’s leg to a coffee table while defendant Shalaine Foster zip tied informant’s hands behind his back,” state court papers. “The informant fell onto the floor and could not get up and laid on the ground for approximately 20 hours.”
The twins swiped $500 in cash and the man’s credit cards and hit up several retail stores while their victim writhed on the floor.
The victim was discovered by a friend who then reported the embarrassing ordeal to police.
