95 Years for Black Neighbour who Raped and Murdered Innocent Young White Woman

Shannon Kleeman had a mild mental disorder that gave her the emotions of a young teenage girl.

The man convicted for killing a woman in the basement of a far east side home was sentenced on Friday morning.

According to court records, 52-year-old Morice Ervin was sentenced to 95 years for the murder of 21-year-old Shannon Kleeman. He was also sentenced to an additional 40 years for rape. Ervin was found guilty of the crime on Aug. 27.

According to police,Kleeman was found dead in the basement of her step-mother’s home in the 600 block of Linwood Avenue in March 2014. Police arrested Ervin in June 2014 on murder and rape charges.
