Each year the ADL conducts a poll and then claims the poll is proof of persistent hard-core “anti-Semitism” in the United States. Each poll is transparently disingenuous. It uses very vague questions that could be answered multiple ways, for multiple reasons. None of the results constitute any real evidence of “anti-Semitism.”
The latest poll, released Friday, included questions about Jews and the economy.
Fourteen percent (14%) agreed with the statement that “Jews have too much power in the U.S. today” (unchanged from 2011).
Nineteen percent (19%) of Americans believe Jews have too much power in the business world, nearly unchanged from the 20 percent who agreed with this statement in 2011.
Seventeen percent (17%) say that Jews have too much control on Wall Street, a slight decline from 19 percent answering “true” to that statement in 2011.
The ADL has been lampooned and mocked in Israel media outlets and the LA Times for making claims that are the exact opposite of what the overall Jewish media prints. While most Jewish publications and groups like to boast of Jewish accomplishments, the ADL claims that it is hateful and “anti-Semitic” to say that Jews disproportionately own or influence anything.
The Jewish media routinely makes statements that, according to the claims made Friday by the ADL, would constitute hard-core “anti-Semitism.”

Well, at least the federal government’s top advisers.
On Wednesday, the Senate confirmed the nomination of Jack Lew, an Orthodox Jew, as Treasury Secretary. He will joined by Gene Sperling, director of the National Economic Council at the White House, Alan Krueger, chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers, and Jeffrey Zients, who heads the Office of Management and Budget. All are Members of the Tribe.
Why isn’t the ADL denouncing the Jewish Daily Forward as an “anti-Semitic rag?”
This year, the unveiling of the ADL poll was even more absurd than ever before. The poll including this question.
Thirty percent (30%) of Americans continue to say that American Jews are “more loyal to Israel” than to their own country, America (unchanged from 2011 and 1964).
According to the ADL it is “anti-Semitic” to characterize Jews as being more pro-Israel than pro-America. Yet hours after releasing the poll, ADL head Abe Foxman gave a speech in which he was clearly calling for a more pro-Israel US foreign policy. He attacked Obama and both political parties for the lack of bombs raining down on Israel’s enemies. Foxman clearly showed that he advocates putting Israeli interests ahead of US interests. Foxman seemed to be insinuating that America should be Israel’s personal attack dog in the Middle East. So if Foxman claims that it is “anti-Semitic” to characterize Jews as “Israel Firsters,” and Foxman is a Jewish “Israel Firster,” what does that make Foxman? A complete hypocrite? A total fraud?
