Prichard police have identified a suspect in the shooting death of Timothy Bruce Russell.
Russell was shot on the afternoon of Sept. 11 on Dunlap Circle in the Alabama Village area of Prichard. He died from his wounds at a local hospital later that same day.
Police later identified 18-year-old Deangelos Trimone Jeffery as a primary suspect. He was already in jail on unrelated charges when served the warrant.
Jeffery is now charged with murder, according to court and Mobile County Jail records. He is scheduled to be arraigned at 8:30 a.m. Monday.
Prichard Police Chief Bernard Parrish credits the cooperation of witnesses and the detectives’ work in identifying Jeffery as a suspect.
“It’s important to know that our detectives will follow every lead, every tip from citizens, and use every means available to us to ensure those who commit crime in Prichard are held accountable and brought to justice,” he said in a press release.
