You should consider these numbers understanding that whites have vastly higher suicide rates than any other race (other than Indians, who are a tiny minority of the population).
And America is at least 10-15% browner than it was in 1999.
So the majority of this increase in among whites.
White males, specifically.
Which is why it hasn’t really been an important headline over the last 20 years while the rise was happening.
Suicide rates are up by 30 percent across the nation since 1999, federal health officials reported Thursday.
And only about half the people who died by suicide had a known mental health condition, even though depression had been thought to be the major cause of suicide, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.
While many cases of mental illness may have been diagnosed, the CDC also noted that relationship stress, financial troubles and substance abuse were contributing to the trends.

Suicide rates increased the most in some Western and Midwestern states, including Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, North and South Dakota and Minnesota, as well as Kansas and Oklahoma.
What is incredible is that we have been told that in the last 20 years we have made more “progress” that in any other period in human history.
We have normalized homosexuality and all forms of sexual deviancy.
We have allowed massive nonwhite immigration from third world countries, in what can only be described as a population replacement program.
We have further empowered women into an even stronger position above men.
We have finally thrown off the shackles of religion and old superstitions.
And we have globalized the economy, leading to hitherto unheard of levels of material consumption, even amongst the poorest classes who have lost their jobs to globalization.
If all of these deliberate programs of social engineering are good and represent “progress,” then why are people offing themselves at a rate never before seen in history?
Why does overall human happiness in general seem to be in freefall, with well over half the population either prescribed prescription psychotropic drugs or self-medicating with alcohol, marijuana or illegal narcotics?
What benefit is this massive social-engineering experiment we are undergoing, if all it does is destroy people’s lives?
Why are We Here?
Ultimately, we have no choice but to ask: what is the meaning of life?
That has to be the starting point of any society. From there, you build.
And the West has not asked that question since religion disappeared, since we urbanized. Since we became consumers.
The de facto meaning of life that resulted from the Jew-led baby boomer revolution is hedonism. We are pleasure machines, and the goal of human society should be to maximize pleasure. That isn’t really stated directly – at least not very often – but it is the underlying premise, driving every large social movement.
Increasingly, I have come to realize that the only way out of this situation we find ourselves in is to redefine, in a metaphysical sense, what it means to be human.
Ultimately there is no political solution to any of this.
There is only a social solution, and that social solution must be driven by a spiritual ideal of man’s role in the universe.
We must reinstate the idea that man is divine.
That we are creatures made in the image of God and that our purpose is that of God.
Increasingly, I am struck with the vicious, brutal reality that “white nationalism” is much too narrow a goal, and that if we wish for our race to succeed, we must aim for divinity, not mere political ends.
And I do think that everything is driving towards this.
The wild race consciousness is moving the human universe toward chaos.
The demanding race consciousness is leading us toward terrible purpose.
I do not know what is coming, but I know it is coming, and I know that we will be given one chance and one chance only to right the wrongs that the universe has laid at our feet.
To embrace the chaos, to go within it and through it, and allow it to make us into something new.
Something stronger.
Something better.
