Continuing in his quest to undermine Christianity by preaching the opposite of what the Bible teaches, Pope Francis is now calling for an end to the death penalty, citing ‘modern advances’ as being the reason why.
What these alleged advances are is unclear, but one thing is crystal: this Antipope is advancing us further towards our doom.
Francis said the media and politicians advocated ‘violence and revenge, public and private, not only against those responsible for crimes, but also against those under suspicion, justified or not’.Catholic teaching does not proscribe capital punishment, the pope said.
According to the Catechism, ‘the traditional teaching of the church does not exclude recourse to the death penalty, if this is the only possible way of effectively defending human lives against the unjust aggressor’.
But modern advances mean that cases in which execution is an absolute necessity ‘are very rare, if not practically non-existent,’ he insisted.
He does not think murderers should be given a life sentence either, saying that Christians should be against it as it is ‘a hidden death penalty’:
‘All Christians and men of good faith are therefore called upon today to fight, not only for the abolition of the death penalty – whether it is legal or illegal and in all its forms… and this, for me, is linked to life sentences. A sentence of life (without parole) is a hidden death penalty.’It remains to be seen whether the pope’s words have any effect in the U.S. where 60 per cent say they are in favour of the death penalty.
He does not even wish to see dangerous criminals who are likely to jump bail held in prison until the date of their trial, claiming that pretrial detention is some sort of sneaky trickery of an unclear nature.
So we are not to hold criminals in jail to ensure they face charges, we are not to give murderers life sentences and we are not to execute them either?
Not only does he want to flood our nations with violent lawless savages, but he does not want us to punish them when they commit crimes either.
Are we absolutely sure that he is not Jewish?
