Are We Really Dealing With Aztec Head Choppers Here?

I was always under the impression that Mexico was mostly just a mestizo paradise. Turns out that parts of it are literally still inhabited by Aztecs.

Milpa Alta (‘high cornfield’ in Spanish) couldn’t be more different from the smog-laden city to which it formally belongs and that it overlooks from its mountainside location. What used to be known as distant farmland and Nahua villages has slowly been ceded into the city. Although literally part of Mexico City, it’s rarely visited by other Mexico City residents. Foreign tourists are even more unusual. And although it’s officially within the city limits, the people of Milpa Alta in many ways live as they have done for hundreds of years.

Many people here speak Nahuatl, the language of the Aztec empire, and they still use the pre-Columbian milpa system of crop rotation. The delegation is approximately 50% forest, and the fields are mostly pesticide free, watered by the rain and ploughed by horses. Insects and various heirloom corns (including blue and red varieties) are still very much part of the diet in this municipality that produces a huge quantity of food for the city, just as it did for the inhabitants of Tenochtitlán (the ancient city of the Aztecs, now known as central Mexico City) more than 500 years ago. Of Mexico City’s delegations, Milpa Alta is the greenest and least populated. It’s a land of forests and fields, not of concrete shantytowns common among the city’s sprawl.

Sounds idyllic.

When I took a tour of South America in my youth, I went with a posh, well-connected Castizo guide who was my buddy at the time.

He had a more South American perspective on the situation and he told me that Mexicans were hated everywhere else in South America for being over the top with their aggressive behavior and machismo.

I didn’t really think about it at the time, but I think he might have been right.

And when these Mexicans enter America, they all of a sudden remember their Aztec roots. But here’s the thing, I don’t think I’ve ever heard of any Mexicans speaking Aztec languages and being poor cactus and corn farmers or whatever in the US. They all seem to be city-dwelling slum scum.

Most Mexicans I’ve seen look more like mestizos.

I get the feeling that a lot of these Mexicans are just LARPing as Aztecs and it gets worse when they enter the US.

At the risk of coming across as a cuck, I feel obligated to point out that different American Indian groups behave quite differently. The people of the Andes, for example, have a reputation of being quite docile and they rarely if ever commit crimes.

They are also not trying to flood America. They just live in the hills and ride lamas and wear colorful clothing.

The Bolivians for example, like to blame the crimes that are committed on mulattos and mestizos coming in from places like Venezuela, Ecuador and Columbia.

In my experience, this seems to be true. La Paz is far poorer than Quito, but it’s also much safer for White tourists.

I do get the impression that it’s these mixed-race mestizos that are committing most of the crime nowadays in Mexico.

Lol, they’re a funny-looking bunch overall.

But they don’t look like these actual Indian tribesmen.

Idk.

In the end, it doesn’t really matter. None of these people belong in the United States, regardless of whether they’re truly Aztecs or not.

It’s something to consider though.

Editor's Note: MS-13 is from El Salvador and Honduras, and they are actually pure blooded Aztec blood-drinkers. But they are definitely a separate group from Mexicans - and from Bolivian Indios. MS-13 is not even a drug cartel - too low IQ - it is just a murder-for-hire death cult gang. All of the cartels are run by Mestizos. There is as much racial variation in "Latin America" as there is in Asia. Compare an Indonesian to a Korean for reference - then pretend there is some huge hapa population (and actually there is, in Kazakhstan, and they are totally different from the East Asians they are the rape-babies of).
