New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham on Friday lashed out at members of a militia group who are stopping migrants at the border, declaring “regular citizens have no authority to arrest or detain anyone.”
The American Civil Liberties Union of New Mexico has demanded that Lujan Grisham and New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas investigate the militia organization, United Constitutional Patriots. Some of the group’s members are armed.
“That migrant families might be menaced or threatened in any way, shape or form when they arrive at our border — often times after an unimaginably arduous journey — is completely unacceptable,” Lujan Grisham said in an email to NBC News.
You’d best start imagining migrant families getting threatened in various shapes and ways.

“It should go without saying that regular citizens have no authority to arrest or detain anyone,” she said. “My office and our state police are coordinating with the Attorney General’s Office and local police to determine what has gone on and what can be done.”
Balderas warned in a statement that “these individuals should not attempt to exercise authority reserved for law enforcement,” he said.
The ACLU of New Mexico raised the alarm about the arrests in a letter sent Thursday to Lujan Grisham and Balderas.
The letter said that on Tuesday members of the group arrested nearly 300 people near Sunland Park, New Mexico. The ACLU posted excerpts of the letter on its website with video that appeared to have been made by one of the militia members.
“The Trump administration’s vile racism has emboldened white nationals and fascists to flagrantly violate the law,” the ACLU said. “This has no place in our state: We cannot allow racist and armed vigilantes to kidnap and detain people seeking asylum. We urge you to immediately investigate this atrocious and unlawful conduct.”
So let’s unpack this.
Governor Cunt is saying that non-cops have no authority to detain anyone. This is blatantly false. Citizen’s arrest is a thing.

There are all kinds of everyday situations where if a civilian catches someone doing a crime, he is allowed to detain them and call the police. The most routine such situation is that a store that catches someone shoplifting can detain them and call the police. A bar can hold someone who gets in a fight. And anyone can hold someone who attacks them.
I do not know the ins and outs of citizen’s arrest, but there are all kinds of regular situations where this happens.
And I’m quite sure that the boomers who are catching these wetbacks know the laws regarding this.
Which is why the ACLU isn’t saying “a citizen can never arrest or detain anyone.” Because unlike Governor Cunt, they are actual lawyers.
So they are saying that they can’t do it because they are racists. This is some new thing that Jews invented, which came up during Trump’s attempted Moslem ban. The Jews said that even though he was legally allowed to ban anyone he wanted from the country, that because he was banning Moslems for racist reasons, it was a violation of civil rights and thus he couldn’t ban them.
Of course, SCOTUS overturned that ruling by lower courts. But I have no idea how it works when it is citizens being charged with doing something legal but that thing becoming illegal because they are doing it for racist reasons.
And a federal court can’t issue an injunction against boomers in winnebagos.
What is probably going to happen is that the ACLU will sue them individually. I guess. That is what I would expect to happen. Or they will just get arrested by state cops on “menacing” charges because they’re pointing guns at people.
The Sad Part
I support these boomers and their valiant Crusade against these neo-Saracen. Of course I support them. This is great and it is hilarious seeing these little spiclets shivering while some boomer points a rifle at their disgusting rat faces.
But the sad part is, when they call the Border Patrol, all the Border Patrol does is process them and let them go.
So aside from the propaganda value of armed citizens fighting back against the lawlessness of the federal government, this is an exercise in futility.

That’s a good way to unite the culture, as it’s the only thing anyone can agree on. Literally, I think it is the single only thing. Even I don’t hate on it that much. The writing is absolute shit, but you just can’t beat the cinematography and costumes or the snarky midget.
But then you scroll down his Twitter, looking for some sign of support for patriotic boomer death squads, and you find only this:

Sources say that the president is conflicted on what he believes the couple should do about this extremely awkward situation.
