Steve Toms was killed by two Black armed robbers intent on stealing from him.

A judge has sentenced Michael Johnson to life without parole for the 2011 murder of jewelry store owner Steve Toms. In court last week, Johnson was found guilty of murder, aggravated assault, and armed robbery.

Dimitrius Gordon was found guilty of kidnapping, aggravated assault, and multiple counts of armed robbery. He has been sentenced to serve 20 years concurrently for his charges.
