When we finally go on a galactic crusade, we will need living space. While it’s fun to talk about colonizing and terraforming planets, the reality is that is not really practical. We would mostly just be genociding whatever aliens live there and destroying their planet for resources.
Most of our living space would likely come from artificial habitats, like the ones described in this video.
