We thought he just wanted us off his lawn… but it turns out he’s crawling onto our lawn.
It has been clear for a long time that Hillary would need Bernie as her VP to have any chance of getting her own people to vote for her.
I had thought that Bernie simply wouldn’t do it.
But it seems that his tribe is calling him to take one for the team.

US presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders vowed to keep fighting for the Democratic nomination all the way to the convention in Philadelphia but has kept the door ajar on the possibility of being his current rival Hillary Clinton’s running mate.

Asked if he would accept a hypothetical offer to be Ms Clinton’s running mate, Mr Sanders said he would talk about it with her after the convention in late July.
“Then, after that, certainly Secretary Clinton and I can talk and see where we go from there,” the 74-year-old Vermont Senator said.
It is impossible for Mr Sanders to win enough pledged delegates in the remaining contests to secure the Democratic nomination, but it remains possible, if unlikely, that Ms Clinton might not win the 2,383 delegates needed for the nomination either, which would set up a potential convention battle in Philadelphia.
“We’re going to be in this until the last ballot is cast,” Mr Sanders said on Friday.
That’s pretty well a confirmation.
And this is very bad news.
Hillary on her own is doomed, with all of her Wall Street connections and war plans, but with Bernie on her ticket, she would have some pretty serious cover.
It would also thwart our plans to get the blue-collar democrats on our side.
Hillary is such a problematic candidate that I don’t think it’s possible for her to win against The Donald under any circumstances. But this is a complication I wasn’t looking forward to.
