Aaron Montreal-Anthony Ross.
It turns out that the White Princess was selling drugs to the nog, not the other way around.
I feel like I should be surprised, but…
A double shooting that left a young woman dead and another woman injured last week in southwest Lansing resulted from a drug deal gone bad, police said.
Hanna Rose Barron, 19, and two other women went to a location in the Woodside Meadows housing complex to sell marijuana wax, Lansing Detective Matt Salmon testified Tuesday during a warrant hearing.
A man who met them there pulled a handgun and fired one shot, killing Barron and injuring one of her companions, Salmon said.
Police were able to identify the suspect, in part, through evidence found on a phone at the scene, Salmon testified.
Aaron Montreal-Anthony Ross, 20, of Lansing, was arrested Monday evening and arraigned Tuesday in Eaton County District Court on three felony counts, including murder and assault with intent to murder.
…
In a hearing that resulted in charges being issued against Ross, Salmon testified that a 19-year-old woman and a 37-year-old woman were with Barron in her vehicle when they met a man at a location in the housing development.
The man asked to see the drugs before pulling a handgun and firing one shot at Barron, Salmon testified. The bullet passed through Barron and a car seat before striking the 37-year-old woman in the leg, he said.
