Berlin: Iranian Pushes 20-Year-Old Girl in Front of a Train, Killing Her

In Berlin-Charlottenburg a 20-year old woman was struck and killed by an underground train. A 28-year-old-man had pushed the woman onto the tracks in Ernst-Reuter-Platz station.

…According to police, the man who had pushed the 20-year-old woman in front of an oncoming underground train on Tuesday evening is an Iranian citizen who was born in Hamburg. The “Berliner Zeitung” reports, based on information from the state prosecutor, that the 28-year-old currently has no fixed residence.

…According to investigations thus far, the young woman and the perpetrator did not know one another. The only thing known about the victim so far is that she was “A German of immigrant origin”.

According to the state prosecutor, the man is already known to the police. A “significant act of violence” was committed 15 years ago. Recently there have been other cases against him in Hamburg.
