A mallet-wielding lunatic was caught on video attacking a food delivery van driver in Brooklyn, as the driver kicked and thrashed to defend himself.
An Uber passenger caught the scene on the way to the Barclays Center Sunday afternoon and posted it on YouTube.
It all happened on Flatbush Ave., near Lafayette St. The video shows the attacker — identified by cops as Damian Bailey, 34 — chase the van’s driver, who hits the ground in front of the cab.
Bailey then swings the mallet at the 23-year-old victim several times. Police arrive on the scene moments later.
The victim, who was driving a FreshDirect van, was trying to stop Bailey from leaving the scene of a crash, and had gotten on the hood of Bailey’s car, cops said.
