Kimberly Smith’s car rolled over three times in a wreck in Irving, Texas, on Sunday morning, leaving her trapped inside and upside down. A Negro turned up, said he would help, but instead hunted around for her purse and then fled with it.

Irving police say a man and woman are under arrest after a crash victim said she was robbed by a person pretending to be a good Samaritan.

Kimberly Smith was headed home on Sunday morning when she said she was cut off by another driver on the exit ramp off Texas Highway 114 near Belt Line Road.

Smith swerved and her car rolled.

Smith crawled out of her mangled Ford Focus and a man handed over her purse, saying he was going to call for help, police said.

The man then got into a pickup truck and drove away, leaving Smith stranded on the side of the road.
