Black Boyfriend Returns to be Tried for Double Murder of White Women 17 Years Later

Tiffany Campbell and Melissa Dawn Chilton were both stabbed to death 17 years ago.

The man charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of two 18-year-old women has been returned to Nashville from a California prison.

Patrick Lamonte Streater is accused of stabbing Exotic Tan employees Tiffany Campbell and Melissa Dawn Chilton on Feb. 22, 1996. Their manager found the victims after he couldn’t get in touch with them by phone.

Metro police said Streater and Campbell were dating.

Patrick Lamonte Streater is being returned to Nashville to face the music.

Streater was not indicted until 19 years later in February 2013. Until Wednesday, he was being held at a California prison serving time for a robbery.
