I’m glad this woman’s family will finally be getting some closure.
Columbus police arrested a man believed to be involved in the murder of an 81-year-old woman.
Charles Greene, 52, was indicted on Thursday on charges of aggravated murder, murder, aggravated robbery and two counts of kidnapping in connection with the death Alyce Seff, 81.
Greene was arrested by Columbus police on Saturday.
In July of 2008 Seff was found murdered and stuffed into a decorative wishing well. Credit cards, a wig, and blood were found at a property managed by Seff
Seff’s Ford Escort was recovered several days after the murder.
Police later released security video showing two women using Seff’s credit cards at area businesses. Police did not say whether those women were ever identified.
The case was at one time featured as a Central Ohio Crime Stoppers crime of the week.
Greene has an extensive criminal record. Court records show burglary, theft and drug charges dating back to 1981.
Greene is being held at the Franklin County Jail without bail pending a court appearance.
Police say that the investigation is still ongoing.
